I feel so sad when I throw away a pod. Goodbye little pod, I think, you did such a good job; I'm sorry your job only lasted about a single minute. You've made me so very happy. Now... I have to throw you away...
Do you just throw them away...? Or, do you break them open and put the grounds in your house plants? Do you slow boil them on your stove for that "coffee house" aroma? Do you use them to prop up your uneven kitchen nook table? Do you use them to mop up spills? As pet toys? Fish tank filters?
What do you do with used pods? Any suggestions?

| I throw them out. And don't think twice about it, either. Sorry... |

Never thought of using it as a pet toy! Have two dogs. One is a Newfoundland who is so lazy, she could use some caffeine. The other is a Labradoodle who is a lot like a stick of dynamite on a short fuse - that has just been lit. The Labradoodle needs a sedative. _________________ Keurig B60 - $199

| Tear them open and use on house plants. Makes a very good fertilizer. |

well, i do keep a spare coffee cup next to each of my single serves and fill them with used pods. Then when they're full I dump them in the trash.. but I don't do anything creative with them. _________________ own:

Uhh....I throw them away! Just like Hodaka I use a coffeepod trash can that I fill and then dump in the larger trash, but I don't do anything special with them. As far as I'm concerned they are no different than the coffee filter full of grinds I used to throw away with my Cuisinart.

I save up a week's worth then I throw them at little kids that walk down the path behind my house.
Just kidding.... mine go right in the trash. _________________ Andy

During the winter...throw them in the trash.
During the summer...throw them in the compost pile. _________________ Pete (Jolly) -

Gang,
Believe it or not I am burning (right now, in my home office) something called a "Java Log" -- it's a fireplace log made out of used coffee grounds.
Does that inspire anyone to use Pods as a fuel source?
(Unfortunately, it doesn't provide much heat, nor does it smell like coffee!)

I think Jay did a review on those. I was disappointed when he said they didn't smell like coffee. What would be the point??? _________________ own:

Ithrow them away unless my dogs get to them first. Well, getting creative with a K-cup requires too much effort to do anythign other than throw them away.

if the kcups all comes in different colors, you could make some mosaic art.. I saw some guy on "unwrapped" who made them with the stickers on fruit *lol* _________________ own:

I am the only one curious about why royalfortune is inquiring about what i do with a product in my home and where i may store said product.
Hmm lets look back at royalfortunes past:
| Quote: | So I'm in Walmart -- packed with holiday shoppers -- looking for shower-stall splash-guards, and I pass the coffee machine display shelf. They have the old Senseo sitting there, with the longer spout. And sitting in a jumble shoved in a corner is a single-pod pod-holder, old style. (Comparing this old pod-holder to my shorter-spout pod-holder reveals a tiny screen in the new one, whereas the old one has a pin-hole with no screen. Could this be the trick to non-frothy Senseo coffee?)
Anyway, I popped the old-style pod-holder into my pocket and quickly went on my way. Don't call it "stealing." Call it "appropriating for research purposes." |
So anyway royal.. i keep my pods under lock and key with 24 hour video surveillance that is monitored through a security company.
ok its official ive had too much caffeine today.
later,
