I've been reading lots of great discussions here lately about Pod vs. K-Cup vs. T-Disc and it got me thinking. What often draws a person to a particular machine is that machine's ability to make the variety of drinks you want. As most people find, there isn't one machine that can do everything or do them all well.

Since for most of us, it's about the coffee first, I was curious to hear what the #1 favorite coffee is for everyone regardless of machine that you use. So let's just imagine that you were only allowed to drink one variety of coffee for the rest of your life. I know, that's hard to imagine and against what SSC is all about, but let's hear your #1 coffee choice in either Pod, K-Cup or T-Disc.

I'll start....For me it would be Fratello Nicaraguan Fina El Limoncillo Pacamara Peaberry which alas is nearly gone forever.

Chad

What a bleak existence that would be!

If I really had to choose, right now I'd pick the Fratello Ethiopian Idido Misty Valley. Numbers 2 and 3 would probably be your Dark Side and Fratello's Brazil Daterra Sweet Blue, in that order.

When Matt started a thread like this a while back, my #1 was a toss-up between the Fratello Nicaraguan you picked and the other one (the COE). Lately though I find myself reaching for the Ethiopian more often.

p.s. I'm ruling out the JBM and 100% Kona pods in this little exercise. For me they're treats, and I think I'd enjoy them less if I had them several times every day.

I too would pick an Ethiopian. The Fratello mentioned is great.

Well Chad, I'm with you. My favourite is the Nicaraguan followed closely by Misty Valley.

Yes, what Chad said. Fare-the-well Nicaraguan Fina El Limoncillo Pacamara Peaberry. As much fun to say as to drink. Simply a great coffee. As what some might think to be a "boring" alternative. I would go with my good ol' Colombian as a coffee I would not want to be without.

My tastes change so much....

My favorite coffees are Central American or Hawaiian.
That being said...I don't have many choices of these in my favorite delivery system...the K-cup. Of those available in a K-cup...I don't like them much.

I love the Green Mountain coffees...but am disappointed in their lack of EXTRA BOLD and SINGLE ORIGIN coffees available in a K-cup.

So, my one favorite that never lets me down?
Green Mountain National Wildlife Blend. Laughing
And I don't even know what the coffee origin is!

He was joking.

(right?) Shocked

Although, I do consider folgers the most drinkable canned coffee, if you stay away from the new and improved darker roast varieties!
