I am trying to find a decent 20-24 oz mug, not a travel mug, but to use at home. I brew 2-8oz drops from 2 10g homemade pods, but can not find a mug to replace my broken Tiger mug that held that much with out trouble, and easily fit in the OPOD.

SOOOO Where can I find one?? Thanks!!

I just did some checking on line for you and struck out. A suggestion would be to go to stores like Kmart and Walmart or any kitchen supply stores in your area. Another possibility would be a large beer mug which is shorter and more squat rather than a tall one. Not a great deal of help but it is a start.

Thanks, been down that path already, but reading your post made me thing I have not tried Bed, Bath, and Beyond yet. They have a ton of Kitchen stuff there, so maybe.

Who? I looked in Google and the closest I saw was:

http://www.jugtownware.com

Not exactly local to me... Sad

Searching 20 ounce mug on Amazon brought up several hits that were not travel mugs.

Odd... I tried "large mug" an other combinations, but never thought to try "20 oz" LOL

How do you know how well they will do with keeping drinks warm?

My coffee would be too cold if I poured that much at a time. I have these from amazon. 14 oz Just enough that when it starts getting cool I can add another serving. Very Happy

I don't know -- I suppose trying would be the only way, although if any of the mugs have user reviews that might tell you something. If it were me, if I were pouring that much coffee at once, I would use an insulated travel mug, since in a regular mug it would be cold for sure by the time I finished it. No law that says you have to actually be going somewhere in order to use a travel mug Smile

Well I prefer to:

1) have fit in the machine
2) easy to clean (ie toss in dishwasher)

So that eliminates most travel mugs.

maybe these...

At work, I use a Tervis tumbler although they also make a mug. I have both 16 and 24 oz tumblers. The 16 oz one fits under my Senseo (if I wedge it in on an angle and catch the edge on one of the ridges on the drip plate); for the 24 oz I have to tilt it and hold it by hand, or I just brew into a measuring cup and pour it in. The tumber/mug is double walled so supposed to keep things warmer longer. For me, I don't think they work as well as the old Aladdin mugs which are difficult to find now outside of eBay. They do keep coffee warmer longer than my regular ceramic mugs. What I like about the Tervis ones are that they are fine in the microwave (if you can fit them - the 24 oz won't fit in mine) and dishwasher. I bought mine at Bed Bath & Beyond, but they have a limited variety of patterns if you're into that. I'm actually lusting after the flying pig one on their website (so I can make my own secret "editorial" about when things at work will improve Laughing ) but am balking at the S&H.

I think gonna stop in BBB this weekend with my 20% coupon and see what options they have. Since size (fitting in opod) is a big factor going to try to aviod having to buy on line.

I just went there recently and didn't see any good mugs. You may have better luck though.
