Interesting! You have to go to Amazon or any music site and search for Motley Crue's album Too Fast For Love. There is a song called Starry Eyes on it, it could be your theme song Very Happy .

Me too! Did you watch for meteors last night? Tonight should be good for the Perseids meteor shower! (I'm looking at a new 'light bucket' as well....)

No, we had gone out late with friends. I'm going to try tonight. The cloud cover was especially heavy last night.

I might go out tonight too for a peek if it's clear. I own two meteorites and a green laser--the latter ostensibly for star-gazing but really for satisfying my inner child's need for a lightsaber.

*** Timothy's Parisian Nights EB

This is a nice dark roast smokey in taste. It's rich and smooth but lacks some of the character of other French Roast. Still it's a pleasant cup to drink with cream in the morning. No real aftertaste noted.

**** Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve EB FTO

Wow, this was an interesting cup of coffee. This was very rich and heavy with spicy overtones and roasted dark just like I like it. Adding cream smoothed it out a bit. I could detect a slight dark chocolate taste as it cooled. Outstanding K-cup. Thankyou you Josh for this wonderful sample.

**** Van Houtte Chocolate Raspberry Truffle

Admittedly I'm not too much of a fan of flavoured coffees. I find most of them too weak, or too overpowering and artificial. There are some that I quite enjoy though and this flavour can be added to the list. This one can be described as dessert in a cup. A perfect coffee to have with that piece of pie or cheesecake after supper.

While this was brewing the odour of raspberries filled the air. Lovely aroma coming from this coffee. Tastewise it was quite rich and strong with the flavour of raspberries. The taste of the fruit seemed to overwhelm the dark chocolate flavour but not in a bad way. I had a lingering taste of raspberries that stayed with me after finishing my coffee. Not a bad taste to have lingering in your mouth. Though I only bought a sample of this one I would definitely buy a box of the flavour. Right now this runs neck and neck with VH Creme Brulee probably my favourite K-cup flavour.

This one used to be one of the boxes you'd get for free when you joined Green Mountain's coffee club, Cafe Express. That's how I came across it. Now GM just gives you cocoa and tea unless you call and ask to choose your own free gifts (boo). Glad you liked it!

Yes, it was a very nice coffee. I still like the Invento Sumatra better. For a K-cup though the GM was quite tasty. There are a few favourite K-cups but I'm finding my favourite pods far superior to my fav. K-cups. I guess that shouldn't be surprising.

** Timothy's Morning Blend

Too light for my taste. Found this one rather indistinct and actually quite bland. I might have rated it higher at one time but no more. Which reminds me that I'll have to lower my rating on the Breakfast Blend. I find them both pretty equal. I was glad to have a sample of the Morning Blend but I wouldn't buy a box of it.

** Van Houtte Creme Caramel FT

I agonized over whether to give this one 2 or 3 stars but I decided on 2.
There is nothing wrong with this coffee but if one desires a flavoured coffee then this fails the taste test. While this was brewing the smell of caramel filled the air. When I tasted it though, there was just a very subtle hint of flavouring. Their Creme Brulee is so much better. The coffee did leave a stronger Caramelly aftertaste but not enough to raise my rating. Though it's not a bad coffee on it's own it fails as a flavoured coffee so I would not buy a box of this one.

I buy Timothy's Breakfast Blend and Morning Blend by the ton!
No, I don't like it either...but my wife loves LIGHT ROASTS. Laughing
Her fav is Green Mountain Heifer Hope...but GM coffee is like a treat around here...since they are more expensive than all the other K-cups! Confused

You can buy all those coffee machines in your signature, yet you complain about spending a few extra pennies on a cup of GMCR for your wife? Laughing

Edit: Now I see your going to buy some Solobrews. You better buy her some Heifer or I'm going to tell on you.

I find my tastes really changing and I'm leaning more and more to the dark side, the darker the better. I still like a good medium roast though if it's full-flavoured.

*** Timothy's Spanish Sol

What an interesting cup of coffee. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but yeah, I like it. This is a nice spicy drink not suited for every day but an occasional cup is okay. It is suppose to have a hint of licorice but it tastes more like cinnamon to me. It wouldn't have anything to do with the cinnamon latte I had last night, would it? Razz Would I buy a box of this one? Probably not but I'm glad to have sampled it.

Stickied!

I saw on Shoffee's blog that this summer is the last summer for the Spanish Sol k-cups.

http://www.shoffeeblog.com/2009/08/say-good-bye-to-timothys-spanish-sol-k.html

Anise in coffee? Interesting, but I don't like it in other drinks (pastis, ouzo, etc.), so maybe I'm not missing too much?
