Reunion Island Fair Trade Organic Sumatra Koro...A+
I love this brew. May even consider bumping it up to one of my ++'s. A bit of spice, a bit of fruit lots of flavor. Described as a medium-dark roast which is right up my alley. Great black, but fantastic with C&S. You should buy some of these pods.

I added the 2 coffees from KW coffee pods I had received as free samples. I am pretty stocked right now with the peaberry from Fratello, but I hope to try a few more new pods soon.

Fratello Costa Rican Co-op Palmares...B+
Unusual for me to but anything from Fratello in the B range, but this pod just does not suit my taste buds. It was good black, and nothing to rave about with C&S. I think it tough to taste any of the "notes in this pod as they are so mild. A pod I will finish for sure, but more than likely not re-order.

The Coffee Artisan Celebes Kalossi ...A+
Really a wonderful cup of coffee that I could see everyone liking no matter their preferences. A full body with a hint of sweetness and spice. A great after dinner or morning cup, hell why not after lunch to Black it sat very well on the tongue with a very pleasant after taste, and with C&S the sweet gets accentuated. Great job Chad and Co.

Matt, this one certainly surprised me. Quite good for a light roast. I could see myself buying a box of this if I didn't have a cubboard full of coffee.

Ok, you two inspired me to have a cup of Celebes Kalossi this morning. Hadn't come back to it for a little while. Still good! Drank it black and found it interesting to compare to the Reunion Island Sumatra Ketambe Dark I'd had an hour earlier.

I find the Celebes Kalossi very very nice. I think I wrote smooth and pleasant without being boring in my notes. Have to put the Reunion Island Fair Trade Organic Sumatra Koro on my to-try list too.

Passage to Colombia ....B
Black it reminded me a bit of a mass produced drip Colombian brew, with a bit of bite to it. C&S made it a tasty morning cup but not quite one I would order myself. Thank you Pat for the sample.

Higgins and Burke Black Pearl ...C
A nice aroma while brewing did not "transfer" to the taste IMHO. I think I would have liked it more with a lighter roasting profile, but I found it to leave a somewhat unpleasant after taste which C&S did not help. Thanks to Pat for the sample.
A bit surprised I am giving such a low grade to one of Josh's Wow(s)

I enjoy char tasting coffees and French Roasts, so I'm not surprised you didn't enjoy it knowing your dislike of such types. You probably won't like Midnight Mirage any better. Maybe the Ogopogo has a chance.

This happened just the other day with the Reunion Island Sumatra Ketambe Dark in Geir's thread. No worries! "Wow" is very subjective, and like Pat said you do have a dislike for the darkest roasts. This is why it's good to have multiple review threads.
