Yep. We've done it. Works - not as good as the Senseo - make sure and wet them. You know you can buy tea pods in the regular coffee pod sizes? I'll have to post this up. _________________ - Jay Brewer

I just tried to use a green tea bag and...nothing blew up!
Just cut the string and made flat/centered the tea bag inside the one cup pod holder. Okay, but need to make a little stronger.
I'll keep experimenting.
Have a great weekend! _________________ Started with Senseo (collecting dust),

Rachel, (or anyone)
this is my first attempt at a post and since you said you have a Krups. I have a question for you (or any krups). Just bought the thing and am wondering when ordering "Pod" which ones work with the Krups 1010. the ones that came with it are way to weak for my taste. Thanks
P.S. still debating on the Bunn model... |

Carol,
Go with the Bunn. My friends that have had a cheaper model of a single serve coffee machine and then switched to a Bunn couldn' believe the difference. I love my Bunn! _________________ OPOD & Romeo |

carol...there are so many awesome pods that you can use with your krups 1010...my personal fave are the baronet pods or javapodz...the ones that come with the machine are pretty nasty if i were you i would read the coffee pod reviews located here in the forums...thats part of the fun of having a single-serve coffee machine is trying out all the different kinds of pods...good luck finding your favorite!!! |

Actually, I don't know if Krups is cheap as far as their single serve. I know their coffeemakers are rather "inexpensive." My last Krups coffeemaker sucked, so I switched to Bunn. _________________ OPOD & Romeo |

Ok, I ordered Bunn. So far I like the Krups but have nothing to compare to as the Bunn is not here yet. Now on to pods.. think I found a new hobby or a second job coming......

Rachel,
If you read the review on your Krups machine, it seems like the Krups performs very well!
What a deal too at half the price of the Bunn!
I had ordered a Bunn from Amaz-- but after two weeks of waiting for them to ship it out, I cancelled the order. I think the $25/off plus free shipping ($175 total shipped to Hawaii) was a big loss for them.
So I bought the Costco/Senseo special for $51.00 with 70 pods special.
Now, I'm doing fine with Better Pods, Premium Pods and Senseo Pods, but maybe I'll get the Krups machine next! _________________ Started with Senseo (collecting dust),

That Senseo will hang in there. I've had mine for about a year and a half and it's still going strong. And I've done some crazy stuff with it. For example, DO NOT put two 9g pods into the double holder and try to brew a cup. The Senseo just does not like that one bit, and it will tell you so soon after hitting the brew button. BTW, have a clean shirt handy if you do decide to try it. Can you say BLOWOUT!!! _________________ Andy
