|
|
This is a quote from www.cheapercoffee.com. They have been an online retailer of K-Cups for the past couple of years.
| Quote: | Green Mountain Coffee Roasters owns Keurig Inc. Keurig Inc. has advised us that CheaperCoffee.com will not have their at-home distributorship franchise renewed effective 12/31/06. We have subsequently learned that other large, value-priced Internet sellers will not have their distributorship franchise re--newed either. None of us has been told why. In the meantime we suggest you stock-up prior to December 31, 2006.
|
Anyone have any more information as to what the plan is? Are we going to have a limited number of K-Cup retailers? Is Keurig just reducing the distribution points to reduce costs? |

| I hope they don't give Jim the boot! I doubt it as it sounds like he has a good relationship with them. |

This tells me prices will climb higher. _________________ Pete (Jolly) -

Surely Keurig won't get rid of them all and self-distribute; however that could explain Jim's poll on the price we are willing to pay for K-Cups..... |

As the ominous black cloud hovers over K-cup nation, Podster sez:

Oh come! You sell them so you must get them reaaaaal cheap!
Actually, I do really like k-cups and miss my Keurig. However, I like the price of pods better! I also still have to tweak my OPOD as I am getting too strong of a cup. That is one thing the Bunn has over the OPOD --easy to adjust cup size! |

This don't sound good to me.
Is Jim going to comment on this thread? He probably knows some details! _________________ Cafe My Bunn! ~~ Keurig B40 ~~ KitchenAid Compact 4-Cup Coffeemaker ~~ Keurig B30 |

| We all should bombard Keurig with phones calls this is outrageous, and they think we will put up with it. |

Addicted, no.... I have no probelm boxing up the Keurig and sending it back to the president with a note. Bad move on Keurig's part.
I have an OPOD it is as quick or quicker than B60 |

See thats what I like about my Senseo (and I assume other pod makers), even if all the pod makers go away, I can still make (and do) my own pods from normal drip filters with finely ground beans. Thats why I will probably never get a Krieg, or etc. _________________ Vincent

| Well, if they think that putting 5 or 6 varieties in Target and we need to order the rest direct from Keurig or Green Mountain is going to get the job done, they are grossly mistaken. The brewer won't survive this in the home, it becomes a walkover for Tassimo at that point. |
