I bought 7 boxes from Macy's when I bought my B30 (at a great price). All boxes either expired the month before or that month. I didn't know about expiration dates until I was half way thru them.
I suspect stores like Macy's and BB&B don't have sufficient volume to keep the freshest coffee on hand. Since then I have ordered all my coffer over the internet from sites that specialize in it.
BTW The k cups are packed in nitrogen, so they probably stay fresher beyond the Best By dates. _________________ Keurig B30

I ended up taking the variety pack back to Bed Bath & Beyond and they exchanged it without hesitation. That was only my second visit to that store (the first was to get my brewer) and those folks are super nice. A clerk noticed we were standing at the customer service counter and approached us, told us to go get what we wanted to exchange and he would take care of it. That small act saved us a lot of waiting time. God Bless him!
The best date we found was March '10. Most of the others were the same date I'd gotten - 12/09. Even though I found an acceptable variety pack, I'd made up my mind to get something different if I couldn't find one with a better expire date. While we were there, I took a coupon I'd gotten from my dad and got the carousel...Yay! Saving money on stuff you want is such fun!
BTW - my dear hubby is enjoying the Keurig as much if not more so than I am! He's made 3 or 4 cups of decaf since we've been home from dinner this evening. That's made me love the convenience of it, as well as the coffee, even more...! He says he still wants to use the drip so I got a pack of our same old-same ole today while shopping. I'm wondering if he'll make a pot of it in the morning....hmmm.....we'll see....

| I love the machine since I drink tea after the morning hours and the Keurig makes it easy to get hot water for my Twinings Irish Breakfast. |

| I was in line at a Kohl's store this morning and the woman in front of me was buying a Special Edition brewer and a box of K-cups. The shelf price on the brewer alone was $149, and it's the same machine as a B66 that I got at Sam's with 72 K-cups and a water filter for $129. I very nearly told her to put it back and go to Sam's, but didn't think the Kohl's cashier would look too kindly on that! |

Well, only one lonely pot of drip coffee has been made. But only because I offered. My hubby is as in love with our brewer as I am. It's so nice to have good coffee whenever you want. Especially a couple cups of decaf in the evenings.
It's also been neat trying the different coffees/teas. As you probably know, it's as important to find what you like as it is what you don't. My sweet hubby will drink nearly anything that won't get up and walk away from him. So eventually all our variety pack will all be consumed.
And speaking of trying stuff, I came up with a recipe (maybe I saw it on here??)...I opened a GM Cocoa and brewed a Raspberry Chocolate Truffle on top of it - Yummy! I also tried Carnation's Creamy Chocolate the same way but the result wasn't anywhere near as tasty. I also plan on trying the Cocoa with a French Vanilla and maybe a Hazelnut??? I'm sooo tempted to brew some decaf and add a splash of Bailey's about now... Yum!

Merry,
Yep, I have that in my K-Cup review, and others have posted similar. I think I used Timothy's White Chocolate though, still was very yummy. Lots of SMART ppl come up with that on their own, so I would just say assume your smart, why not? LOL _________________ Vincent

Hi Mike,
I got the Platinum (B70) model and I'm so glad I did. Wanting one with an ice tea setting and quiet brew technology were the perks that meant the most to me. BUT my favorite feature turned out to be the bigger resevoir. With my husband and myself drinking coffee on weekends, it will get filled once or twice in a single morning. With a smaller resevoir, I'm sure it'd be more than that. I also love that it's on and ready when we get up in the morning!
I love this thing so much I'm thinking about getting my in-laws one for Christmas! The coffee is wonderful and you just can't beat this thing for convenience when folks drop by.
