Hello,
I am currently an E-marketing student working on my last capstone project. For this project we are to take on a new client, Great Cups of Coffee and design a new website for them. One of our tasks is to create, post and collect information on a survey about what the consumer wants to see on a coffee related website. I thought what better place to gather information that on a coffee forum with people who really love coffee.
If you have a free moment to help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. It is totally anonymous. This only has a window of one week and will close on October 5th. Below is the link to the survey.
Before you do your survey you might want to do some data gathering on what the different terms actually mean since your survey seems to miss almost all of the major things so many folk consider important about the drink. For example you seem to conflate roasts and brewing methods and coffee drinks all together under "Types of coffee" when none of them really describe "Type of Coffee".
Can I suggest you spend a week or so exploring the Sweet Maria's website and then try a redesign of your survey or just spend a week or so here asking folk what they would like to see on a coffee website.
AbE:
Let me expand a little more.
Consider issues like varietals vs blends, equipment reviews, recipes and instruction, single source, fair trade, regional and estate histories, grind levels for a brew method, roast levels for a desired outcome. _________________ Aslan is not a Tame Lion
Thank you for the information. There is so much to learn about coffee and the art of the perfect cup. I had no idea of the depth of the subject! I was hoping to access true coffee lovers to get some of the information that you mentioned. I will definitely check out that website you recommended and some of the other postings to get more information. Unfortunately, I only have a week for the survey but the semester to work on this project so I will check in often.
