I have been using a ten cup automatic drip Mr. Coffee for years. For a long time I always thought leaky coffee machines was an inevitable fact of life. Last year, for some unknown reason, I decided to look underneath the coffee machine. To my surprise, the entire bottom rusted out. I decided exposed wires and water don't go well together and made a decision to buy a new coffee maker.
The Cuisinart Grind and Brew looked very tempting but I read too many bad reviews and looked into the Capresso MT500. At the last minute I said to myself, "Self" why am I buying a ten cup machine when I never drink more than two cups at a time? That was when it hit me ---SINGLE SERVE COFFEE!
More research. I took a small risk and bought a used Senseo on Ebay for $21.
I figured the worst that could happen was I don't like single serve coffee systems and go back to regular coffee machines at a lost of $21.
Well, I'm still using my Senseo and constantly trying different pods.
IMHO nothing beats Fratello French Saigon Dark (so far).
Thanks to all you posters out there, this forum has been a wealth of information. _________________ Whose leg do I have to hump to get a drink around here?

My voyage into SSC started with my husband. He told me that he had recently started drinking coffee and asked me to send him a few things. Then he asked me to have a coffeemaker waiting for him when he came home for R&R. I scoured the internet, but nothing really jumped out at me. I wanted something that could brew a small amount of coffee at a time, as I didn't drink coffee. Then I found this site! I ordered a free Senseo from the Share Senseo program and some nice pods. That's when I realized that coffee can be better than the half-burnt Folgers I had tasted in the past. That led to me falling in love with espresso and capps/lattes. Now I'm getting ready to purchase a Keurig (probably a B60) for when my husband comes home this winter and a Nespresso for myself! The Nespresso will probably come first though. _________________ -Beth
I found a Senseo at Goodwill New in box still unwrapped inside for $8. Then I found this site and it has been downhill ever since.
Next was an Aeropress followed by a Tassimo that was New in Box at another Goodwill. Waited until it came up for 50% off on the week it's tag's color was up for discount. Got that one for $30.
Followed closely by a Share Senseo freebie and recently a Keruig B30.
I have always been a gadget geek and a coffee geek so this was probably inevitable.
