I dunno that any tape was a good plan. Tape and water usually not the best plan.

now that you know it works, you really should epoxy it up good though, that one area near the backflow spout (the one I circled in the pic) really needs to be built up with epoxy......... water does get on that area, and the tape is bound to give out............ not so much soaked in water, but the humidity would be enough to compromise the adhesive.......

Exactly. Not to mention the eventual spills, places/etc. Tape is not good for these kinds of uses (unless it some expensive spacial water tape)

don't forget to change your signature from "Will try to fix....." to "Successfully fixed......" when you are done, and post pics of the final repair job, of course............. just make sure to get the epoxy on as smooth as possible, it's a royal you-know-what to sand..........

hi all-

my SS1 one finally broke and I MISS it BIGTIME!

Any recommendations of what to get in its place? I like the fact I can brew grinds or pods. what are the best options?

Thanks in advance!

I've had two bite the dust so I'm curious about what happened to yours too, sillyrabbit.

Since it has a 3 year warranty I'm going to call and see if I can get one more replacement. After that, I'm done.
