I see Reunion Island has the MCU ground coffee drawer listed on their site now, hopefully the machine with the full set of drawers will not be far behind.

I was just thinking that they might not offer the K-cup drawer separate, since they don't produce any.

You may have a point ... I'm not especially interested in purchasing drawers separately though, I am looking to replace my Keurig machine soon and want to use the pod, ground coffee and K-Cup drawers, hopefully they will offer the whole package.

If you're interested in MCU, below is a link to a quick overview video. More videos to come :)

Thanks for sharing this video Amanda. I really would like to know if BUNN has any plans to make the MCU available in Canada.

I've read through the thread and haven't found an answer - is the new unit packaged with the multiple drawers the same as the previous unit that only brewed pods? We're in the market for a travel brewer and I was planing to buy the old pod brewer when I discovered the new drawers. We're fine using only pods for traveling, so I was hoping to find one of the less expensive pod-only brewers in stock somewhere. However, if the unit itself has been upgraded, I may end up springing for the new one packaged with multiple drawers.

Thanks for any feedback you have.

Yes, the machines themselves are the same.

Patrick, I will mention that I once considered using the MC as a travel brewer and Amanda from Bunn did express some caution. Please remember that the reservoir doesn't empty (at least not easily) and you would end up with a machine that has 14oz of water in it when you travel. Depending on the type of travel you do this may not be an issue but it is something to be mindful of.

Thanks for the tip. I plan to travel with the machine just during road trips, so I think the reservoir shouldn't be a problem. Though I wonder if I'm not using it for several months at a time if I should drain the reservoir prior to storage? I'll have to look into that. At a minimum, I'll likely run a water-only cycle or two prior to the first use after an extended period of storage.

Here's a link on how best to drain the MC/MCU's tank for easy reference: how-to-empty-the-bunn-mc-home-s-internal-tank-t9194.html

Nice! Enjoy your new machine! I'm planning to purchase the ground coffee drawer soon (I have the older unit without the drawers.) Let us know how it works for you!
