How do you get ALL of the water out of a Keurig or an OPOD?

Postby nevets » Wed Dec 27, 2006 11:16 am

Is there an easy way to get all of the water out of a Keurig B-50 or a Grindmaster OPOD? On the B-50, I can keep dispensing hot water until the “Add Water” display shows and then drain the reservoir. However, is there an easy way to get the remaining water out of the heating tank? Same for the OPOD, dispense hot water until the add water light flashes and then tip the machine to get any residual water out of the reservoir. But once again, how do you get the remaining water out of the heating tank?

You don't. I shipped mine with the water in it.

I think the tank on the OPOD is removable. Perhaps it can be drained when out of the unit.

When I moved my OPOD from home to office I used the priming button until the water stopped coming out. Not really sure if this did anything at all. You likely will not get any significant leakage, but maybe ship it in a plastic bag?
