Keurig B60 hose popped off

Postby GlowingApple » Sat Sep 02, 2017 9:51 pm

I've been having issues with my Keurig B60: sometimes it brews a really small cup, but when I try to brew again it'll brew a full cup. When it brews a short cup I can hear the pump humming for a while before it actually starts to pump water. I figured it just needed to be descaled, but today it wouldn't brew at all, just hummed the whole time. Turned it upside down and gave it a smack and it was able to brew a couple cups of water, but then stopped again. Took it apart and when I removed the silver plastic cover I saw a hose had popped off.

Here are some pictures of the hose:

I found this image online: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/97460779413395633 that looks like it might be the same junction. Sounds like it connects the solenoid and the air pump. If I pinch off the hose while the Keurig is trying to brew it pumps water, but continues to pump air for a while afterward (seems like it's missing a signal to stop pumping). So I'm guessing this hose goes to either the solenoid or the air pump but I have no idea where either of those are in the unit.

Any advice on where this hose might go?

Thanks!

Figured it out!

Turns out the hose connects to what I think is a valve on the underside of the silver cover. Pressing the hose on tightly and carefully reassembling the unit seems to fix the issues I've been having with the Keurig. Figured I'd post pictures here in case anyone else has the same problem in the future!
