HOW do i re-use T-Discs?

Postby zorzo51 » Tue Oct 17, 2006 5:00 pm

[url=http://e26ac62a.qvvo.com]I've been told that if you're interested in a slightly weaker cup of coffee or tea that you can reuse a T-Disc one more time. (I know Tassimo doesn't recommend the reuse of discs).

How exactly do you do that? The machine won't accept it if the two holes have already been punctured.

I once tried placing a piece of tape over both holes, but that didn't work.

Doe anyone have suggestions?

not sure i'd recommend trying that at all. If you want the coffee a bit weaker the best approach would be to use the manual button at the end of the brew cycle to keep the water flowing until youve attained the strength you like.
Hi, Im Mike and I have an addiction...
i have tried them all and ended up with:
Nespresso Romeo E350,
Grindmaster OPOD, Toddy Cold Press, Cuisinart ss-1
and now home roasting with HG/BM method

zorzo, you should be able to do it by doing the following:

Take the t-disc out of the cradle and close it completely, then reopen it, put the t-disc back in and it should prepare and ready as usual.

I often have to do this because I forget to turn on the machine BEFORE I place the t-disc in! Give it a shot and let me know if it works out for ya.

Happy coffee drinking! ;)
